108 red howlite beads are strung alongside vintage inlaid brass beads to create this traditional style mala.
This bright and bold classic mala is finished with a vintage Tibetan guru bead with brass dorje charm. Each vintage Tibetan bead features pieces of turquoise and coral inlaid in brass.
In Buddhism, a dorje is a protective symbol that represents the 'thunderbolt of enlightenment.'

Howlite is a great stone to reduce anxiety, tensions, stress and anger. It is gentle, soothing and calms the energy around you. Howlite stills the mind and is excellent for sleep and meditation.

Mala measures approximately 30 inches around. Beads are 7-8mm. Tibetan beads are about 12mm and guru bead is 14mm. Dorje charm measures about 1 inch long and 0.5 inch wide. Made in Nepal.

I like this Mala because of the color and the small Dorje incorporated into the stringing of the Mala. Every item I have purchased from the Dharma Shop has been carefully wrapped and sent quickly. The craftsmanship of each item has been amazing to see. Beautiful!

The Calming Heart of Tibet Mala measures approximately 30 inches around, but does not include an adjustable knot. If you prefer to wear your mala around the wrist, I would suggest browsing our stretchy or adjustable 108 designs for those work great for a variety of wrist measurements! Are the beads coated with anything so that the dye will not rub off on your fingers with prolonged use of the mala? Thanks!

Hello Patricia, thank you for your inquiry! The Calming Heart of Tibet Mala includes red howlite beads. These beads go through a stabilization process under high heat to avoid color transfer.
