Painted Green Tara Dharma Statue

  |
  • This exquisite Green Tara statue is hand crafted and painted in Kathmandu, Nepal.
  • Made over a 3-5 month long process involving casting, creating wax molds, making plaster molds for bronze pouring, and then hand detailing and carving before the finishing artists even see the statues.
  • After being hand detailed and expertly carved by master craftsmen, the statue is then sent to the finishing artists to be hand painted with beautiful colors and gold accents.  Each and every detail is truly incredible!

Green Tara is known as the Buddha of enlightened activity, filled with youthful vigor.  She is the fiercer form of Tara, but is still a savior-goddess of compassion.  Green Tara is intensely compassionate and acts quickly to help those who call upon her.

Each statue is full of colorful painted detail including a dorje, deer, and Tibetan dragons.  Tibetan dragons are protectors of Buddhism whose thunderous voices awaken us from delusion.  The deer reference the first teaching which Buddha gave in the Sarnath Deer Park near Varanasi, where he set in motion the "first turning of the wheel of dharma."

Statue measures approximately 5.25 inches tall and 3.25 inches wide at the base.
