Skull Mala 108 Brown Bone Beads

  |
NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE

These very long malas are quite striking.  They are made of brown water buffalo bone hand carved to look like skulls.  Features a red rayon tassel.

A note about bone beads:  Tibetan nomadic life is hard, and in the cold there is little to eat.  Water buffalo is a main staple in Nepal and Tibet and when an animal is used for food nothing is wasted.  These amazing bone beads are hand inlaid by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.

Measures approximately 53-55 inches in circumference.  Contains 12mm by 8mm beads.  Each mala varies as the beads are a natural material carved by hand.

Never take it off

Really nice mala, i have it wrapped around my right hand and never take it off. It helps me get thru my day-to-day. Very good mala to practice impermanence, its a long mala, too long for myself to wear around my neck. So i wrap it about 7 times around my wrist. Since its bone, should be durable and long lasting. Very happy with it.

Special mala

This mala is greatly beneficial in my meditations about transition and the unknown. However, because of the stringing and shape of the beads, it is more difficult to use. I use it for breathwork and rely finding the edge of the last bead with my fingers and eyes closed to pull it through. I am getting used to it a bit more but fumbling with it can break my concentration.
