This set includes 5 strands of prayer flags - each strand has 10 flags. The colors are the traditional yellow, white, red, blue and green.
Each flag features a large variety of prayers surrounding the center image of lungta, a Windhorse. Lungta is also the Tibetan word for 'prayer flag'.

Tibetans believe that the prayers and mantras will be blown upwards as an offering to their deities and will bring peace, happiness and good health to all who hang them and who are touched by the wind.

Set includes 5 strands of flags with 10 flags per strand. Each flag measures approximately 8 by 8 inches; one full strand is about 7 feet long. Made of polyester in Nepal.

Love these prayer flags!

This the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve bought prayer flags from Dharma Shop, and first time I’ve bought the set. They are beautiful and a great value. They have a strong smell in the packaging, but it dissipates after a few days - not an issue if hanging outside of course, but could be for storage of if theyre hanging close by. If they’re exposed to harsh elements (like mine are) they probably should be changed out yearly (although my last set was purchased in 2020). They definitely fade from being out in the weather as expected, but the material continues to hold up. Very impressed! I love to support local artisans. Items are well-packaged, shipped quickly, I will definitely continue to shop here.

Different material

I’ve put up prayer flags for decades after spending time in the Himalayas. These are no longer made of cotton—flags and cord are some type of synthetic. No big deal except they tend to fray more easily. Still love them. Just hung them among the piñon, oak and pine forest trees around us in memory of the passing of our 15 yr old sweet dog.

beautiful wishes

I love these nature friendly flags . They last through the Chaotic Wisconsin winters and more. Iove having a set ready to go when I feel the need to add or replace them. I even gifted them out. Watching the wind send prayers to the world brings peace to my heart.

Hi, I was wondering what material these are made of? I am not looking for plastic ones, as I bought some plastic ones earlier and did not like them. I am looking for cloth of some sort.
