How to adjust your mala beads

In the 20+ years that DharmaShop has been selling malas, we've encountered nearly every adjustable knot there is.  This obviously comes with a lot of questions over the years from our customers as well!  How do I adjust my mala?  Will I break my mala if I pull too hard? Etc.
