• This monk's mala is handmade in Nepal and includes beautiful yak or water buffalo bone beads with naga shell and copal coral spacers with pressed turquoise accent.  Only 2 available!
• It features a larger naga shell guru bead as well as traditional, antique-style, Tibetan bell and dorje mala counters that are hand strung on leather.  Perfect monk's mala for everyday meditation.
• These bone beads are a great reminder of impermanence and living in the present moment; because nothing is permanent, everything is possible.  They have been naturally stained to reflect a bold and beautiful color.

A note about bone usage:  In the Himalayas, it is typical for large animals such as yak or water buffalo to be used for service, food, clothing, and ritual items.  Given the limited amount of resources and the religious practices of the people in the region, it is important that none of the animal goes to waste.  These amazing bone beads are handcrafted by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.

Mala measures approximately 45 inches around.  Bone beads are about 11-12mm, spacer beads are 15-17mm, guru bead is about 20-22mm.  Made in Nepal.
