Antique Raktu Mala with Counters

• DharmaShop founder, Sander Cohen, found this incredible antique raktu mala on his trip to Nepal in October 2019.  He was so impressed by the quality of the beads along with the unique finishes.
• Mala features antique raktu seeds, clear quartz spacers, a blue howlite guru set with a dorje charm, and traditional Tibetan mala counters.
• The small, dark raktu beads have an incredibly beautiful sheen that emphasize their age and wear.

With meaning similar to the bodhi seed, many practitioners use raktu malas for their essence and inherent teachings of enlightenment within each seed.  Some of the most common malas used in Tibet and Nepal, these seeds are sustainable and are harvested each year and made into mala beads. 

Mala measures approximately 32 inches around.  Beads are about 7-9mm.  Made in Nepal.
