This mala was designed for us in 1999 when the DharmaShop started. 108 Bodhi seeds with pressed turquoise and sherpa coral spacers and silver plated counters.

This is a long and large mala, beads are 14mm and the total length is 46 inches.

THE mala.

I have ordered about a dozen Dharma Shop malas over the years, and this is the one I always wanted. ...As soon as I saw it, I placed the order....Practice with this mala is wonderful. There truly is nothing like bodhi seeds.The tassels are so high quality, I honestly believe I can make it last a lifetime. The fit & finish is exquisite....Word of warning: full sets of bodhi seeds are BIG malas.So gorgeous. Thank you Dharmashop!

This Mala has a wonderfully solid vibration

My husband purchased this mala for me as a gift...I love the feel of it, it has a very earthy solidity to it. When not using it, I leave it on my alter next to a stone Buddha...and every time I go by, it beckons to me. It's hard to look at it and not want to sit down with it again. It is beautiful to look at and touch.I still need one that is smaller (I'm very tiny and this is a LARGE mala...very 'man sized') that I can wrap around my wrist to have where ever I go. This is much too large for wearing...but as a special, rather sacred alter mala, it is perfect!

so yo wanna know what i think?

Really wanted to get a new/good quality mala to chant with and fidget around with..so i looked around on the internet and in stores and found this. I am so glad i did because it is very very nice. Feels wonderful and it is put together very well. Not to flashy and expensive, just an all round good buy, that i know will last for years. Now it is big, i knew it was big getting it but it is BIG so if you plan on wearing it..its gonna be big and heavy...me i like the weight and size for what its made for..chanting, not wearing for fashion, i just wouldn't do that with a mala used for any religious use..your primary mala should be special and sacred and for that this couldn't be more perfect, but i would recommend a mala bag (i have one i like) and if you order the bag also...check to make sure it will fit first.
