Peaceful Shakyamuni Statue

• This Shakyamuni Buddha statue is hand crafted and painted in Kathmandu, Nepal.  The face of the statue is painted with gold leaf in the traditional manner.
  
• Made over a 3-5 month long process involving casting, creating wax molds, making plaster molds for bronze pouring, and then hand detailing and carving before the finishing artists even see the statues.
• After being hand detailed and expertly carved by master craftsmen, the statue is then sent to the finishing artists to be hand painted with beautiful colors and gold accents.  Each and every detail is truly incredible and takes months to create.

According to tradition, Shakyamuni shared his enlightened wisdom, promoted peace, and taught people how to unleash the great potential of their lives.  His compassionate intention was to enable all people to attain the same awakened state of life that he had attained.

This statue is full of colorful painted detail including the Eternal Knot symbol, lotus flowers, Tibetan dragons, and swimming fish.  Tibetan dragons are protectors of Buddhism whose thunderous voices awaken us from delusion.  The Endless, or Eternal Knot has special meaning throughout many cultures and can serve as a reminder of interconnectedness and unity.

Statue measures approximately 5.5 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide at the base.  Handmade in Nepal.
