Este mala tibetano de 108 cuentas está hecho a mano en Nepal utilizando relajantes cuentas de amazonita y una cuenta de gurú de cristal de cuarzo transparente.

Pretty, heavy, broken….

This mala is very lovely and I truly enjoyed it. However, it is quite heavy and the stone beads will pinch and pull your hair in the back (or your kids’ hair when they hug you.) This was my first stone mala and it is quite a different experience than wood or seed. I purchased one of these that was strung every tightly. There was almost no space between the beads at all. Within a few months the cord broke at the guru bead. Customer service was great and the mala was replaced for free very quickly. Now, the second one has broken in the same exact place. I was hesitant to wear or use the second one much and was very careful with it, but it still broke. Also, after seeing the cord when the second one broke it appears that these beads are dyed. There were varying shades of blue and gray marks underneath the beads.

It sounds like this knot was tightened a little too much which is causing that premature wear. No worries!
