Hello Coleen, thank you for your inquiry! The hand-tied knot serves as a tube through which the two cords slide. Without untying or loosening the knot, grasp the bracelet on either side of the knot and firmly pull. The first few times may require greater strength as the cords are exercised. To tighten, grasp the tassel ends and pull. I have also included a video below which helps further detail the adjustable knot feature. I hope this information is helpful! Beautiful Tibetan multicolored bracelets. How thick are the strings? And what’s the material? I can see they’re adjustable, which is great! It seems to fit all size wrists. Thanks in advance for the info!
