True Antique Bodhi Wrist Mala

• Made using a true antique bodhi seed mala purchased directly by the DharmaShop team in Kathmandu.  From that 108 bead mala, our jewelry specialist was able to string 6 incredible antique bodhi wrist malas!
• Made of 18 small, well used bodhi beads that are full of incredible detail.  Each bead is rich in color with a beautiful sheen and texture.  These antique beads have been restrung on brown cord.
• These dark-speckled seed beads have special meaning for all seekers of divine wisdom.  "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed.

We absolutely loved the idea of taking one incredibly special antique bodhi seed mala and being able to create 6 wrist malas from it.  Each antique bodhi wrist mala has a powerful energy from both age and use that you can truly feel when you're holding or wearing it.  Quantities are limited so grab one while you can!

Our jewelry specialist separated the full mala right at the guru bead and followed the exact line of beads when stringing the wrist malas.  Just as you follow and count each bead during your meditation, this wrist mala was strung with the same meaningful intention.

On their trip to Nepal in October 2019, DharmaShop owners, Christy and Sander Cohen were walking a kora around the Boudhanath stupa when they saw an individual seller with a variety of bodhi seed malas.  As they began talking with the seller, monks from the nearby monastery came by and they discussed the beautiful quality of the beads.  We were able to find the same seller and source a handful of truly incredible antique bodhi seed malas from him once again!

Adjustable wrist mala measures approximately 6 inches around when fully tightened and opens to about 8 inches.  Beads are 10-11mm.  Includes two 6mm natural wood toggle beads.  Comes with a DharmaShop keepsake bag!
