Medicine Buddha Wood Print Block

• This meticulously hand carved wood block is designed specifically for traditional wood block printing.
• Wood blocks like this one are typically used to print prayer flags, but you can also use it to print designs on lokta paper, envelopes, wallpaper, and altar cloths or other fabrics.
• The wood is intricately carved to feature a Medicine Buddha design as well as the prayers and mantras associated with it.

The Medicine Buddha is a deity of compassion and healing.  He is believed to alleviate suffering for mental and physical illness.  Often his image is shown with rays of lapis lazuli light radiating from his crown.

Wood block measures approximately 4 1/4 inches tall, 3 1/4 inches wide, and about 1 inch thick.  Made in Nepal.
