Ancient Ayurvedic Healing
  • Channel the ancient holistic healing system of Ayurveda with our handcrafted copper-plated Tibetan singing bowl from the Kathmandu Valley.
  • Singing bowls are great physical companions to Ayurvedic practice and powerful tools for balancing mind, body, and spirit.
  • Copper is a good conductor of sound waves, giving this bowl a rich, warm tone with long-lasting resonance. Ayurvedic practice recognizes the power of sound for relaxation and promoting overall well-being.

Playing your singing bowl along with other Ayurvedic activities like massage, yoga, and meditation can enhance the healing benefits. The peaceful tones and calming vibrations help quiet the mind, reduce stress, and promote relaxation.

In addition to the healing properties, the copper coating makes this bowl extremely responsive and easy to play. Check out the video below to see and hear this amazing bowl being played!

Copperware is a big part of Nepali culture. It is often a recycled material believed to have the ability to help heal the mind and body based on the metal’s energy conducting properties. It can help stimulate the flow of energy, boost immunity, and increase vitality.

pretty but not the best sound

Just not the tone I was looking for I gave it to someone else hoping they like it more.

An attractive challenge.

This is now my 5th singing bowl from The Dharma Shop and the customer service, shipping times, and ease of ordering continues to great. My first impressions of this bowl is the weight of it. It's quite hefty for a 6 inch bowl and the walls are thicker than I expected. The copper plating is a nice touch and it sticks out subtly next to my other bowls. I request to receive any tone other than G and D and sure enough they were able to supply me with a bowl in "E". This is greatly appreciated! However the challenge here is the bowl's rim play. In this aspect, it resonates poorly. I should specify that using the suede end of the striker does not produce any sound whatsoever when playing on the rim. Now using the bare wooden end has no problems whatsoever, but I was surprised as this was the first bowl I've come across that does not produce any sound when played with the suede end of the striker on its rim. After tapping the bowl to "get it started" it does slightly work but it is not able to maintain the sound and ****** dies down. It's very odd. Perhaps it's just this one off piece? But simply playing the bowl by striking it has no issues and it has a warm tone and using the wooden end of a striker still achieves the "singing" I enjoy during meditation.

Hey Kevin, thanks so much for your continued support and feedback! As you know from your growing bowl collection, each bowl has its unique characteristics that may not suit every practitioner. If you wish to swap this bowl out for a different tone, never hesitate to let us know! Now knowing you prefer an E note when singing and not when it is struck, that is something we can look for when selecting a replacement. Send us a message at info@dharmashop.com and we can detail that process. Thanks again for choosing our small shop to grow your singing bowl collection, we appreciate your support of Himalayan artisans!
