This earthy and modern bodhi bracelet features large bodhi seed beads with matte onyx and bone bead spacers. Looks great worn on its own or with a stack of your favorite bracelets or malas.
Bodhi seed beads can be used for counting all types of mantras as well as other prayers. "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed.
A note about bone beads: In the Himalayas, it is typical for large animals such as yak or water buffalo to be used for service, food, clothing, utensils, and ritual items. Given the limited amount of resources and the religious practices of the people in the region, it is important that none of the animal goes to waste. These amazing bone beads are handcrafted by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.
Adjustable bracelet measures approximately 9 inches around when fully opened and closes to about 6 inches. Bodhi beads are 13mm, matte onyx beads are 8mm, bone spacers are 7mm. Handmade in Nepal.
