Antique Mani Singing Bowl with Authentic Patina

  |
  • This antique singing bowl was acquired from one of our favorite singing bowl experts and sound healer, Mangal Man.  He is a singing bowl artist that specializes in sound healing as well as collecting antique singing bowls.
  • DharmaShop co-founder, Christy Cohen, hand picked this unique bowl from a stunning and superior collection of antique bowls from Mangal's collection in Kathmandu.
  • This beautifully aged antique singing bowl has a rare shape referred to as a Mani bowl.  It's truly a one-of-a-kind bowl with gorgeous signs of age and wear including some incredible authentic patina acquired over time.  With its unique shape and a rich tone, it shows and sings beautifully.

Mani shaped bowls are very distinct.  They tend to be heavier, more substantial bowls with thick walls and flat bottoms.  We were so excited to see and play this style of bowl in person, as they are very rare.  Uncommon bowls are highly sought after by collectors and practitioners alike due to their shape creating a sound quality like no other!

A great addition to any collection, this one-of-a-kind antique bowl features an attractive two tone exterior.  We absolutely love the natural and noticeable patina that this bowl has accumulated over time.  Despite their size, Mani bowls are usually higher in tone with a distinctive and powerful sound.  You can definitely hear that with this amazing Mani singing bowl!

Bowl rings at a F# note when struck with a woolen mallet.  This note resonates with the Heart Chakra, which is the center of real, unconditional affection, spiritual growth, compassion, devotion and love.

Measures approximately 6 inches in diameter and is about 3.75 inches deep. Cushion sold separately.

All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet!
