Namaste Wrist Mala

• A powerful and traditional wrist mala handmade in Nepal with naturally stained yak or water buffalo bone beads and a true agate Dzi bead centerpiece.
• These bone beads are a great reminder of impermanence and for recognizing the importance of living in the present moment.  Because nothing is permanent, everything is possible.
• Dzi beads are believed to offer protection for the wearer.  The three-eye Dzi is a popular design that is said to promote wealth, good health, success, compassion and glory.  The three eyes represent the three stars of luck: happiness, honor and longevity.

A note about bone usage:  In the Himalayas, it is typical for large animals such as yak or water buffalo to be used for service, food, clothing, and ritual items.  Given the limited amount of resources and the religious practices of the people in the region, it is important that none of the animal goes to waste.  These amazing bone beads are handcrafted by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.

Adjustable wrist mala measures approximately 6.75 inches around when fully tightened and opens to about 9 inches.  Beads are 8mm.  Dzi bead is 1.5 inch long and 0.5 inch wide.
