Lunar Rainbow Full Moon Singing Bowl 55

  |
  • A one-of-a-kind Lunar Rainbow Full Moon Singing Bowl handmade in the Kathmandu Valley by fifth and sixth generation singing bowl artists.
  • These incredible singing bowls harness the energy of the Full Moon to give extraordinary and long lasting vibrations while promoting healing and encouraging new growth and opportunities.
  • Each bowl was hand selected in Nepal for their amazing quality of sound by the DharmaShop team.  They are hand hammered, hand carved, and hand tuned by the best singing bowl artists in Kathmandu.

This bowl is handmade during and directly under the light of the Full Moon in March of 2022.  March's moon, also known as the Worm Moon, is the last full moon of the winter season and signifies the transition into spring.  This transition promises warmth and hope as we enter into new beginnings that bring about new life.  It is an opportunity to set new goals and move forward on your spiritual path.

Transitioning into spring can also bring rain, which may allow you to see a rare natural phenomena called a Lunar Rainbow, or "moonbow."  Lunar Rainbows are produced by moonlight rather than sunlight and are caused by the refraction of light in water droplets in the air.  The glowing white arc in the sky can be seen only if the observer has the moon behind them.  We felt this fitting for the March moon as we focus on reflection and intention.  By contemplating the past and appreciating our path, we are able to move forward into new beginnings just as winter moves into spring.

Each bowl features gorgeous hand carved details including an exclusive full moon singing bowl stamp, an original makers mark,  and the mantra of compassion in Tibetan script.  The mantra invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion.  The full moon singing bowl stamp is also known as the symbol of longevity and happiness.

Bowl rings at a D# note when struck with a woolen mallet.  This note resonates with the Sacral Chakra.  This energy is the center for creating relationships of all kinds.  It is where we develop an inward sense of self and an outward awareness of others.

Measures approximately 9.75 inches in diameter and is about 4.5 inches deep. Comes with a traditional wooden striker.

All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet!
