Lotus Seed Protection Mala

• DharmaShop founder, Sander Cohen, helped design this 108 bead mala alongside our artisans in Kathmandu.
• It's made with high quality dark lotus seed beads with yellow copal spacers.  An intricate gold-plated double dorje pendant finishes the mala.
• Sander actually sourced these amazing pendants on a trip to Taiwan and brought them directly to our mala maker in Nepal, making this a truly exclusive DharmaShop design!

A double dorje is considered an emblem of protection in Buddhism.  It represents that which cannot be destroyed, but which destroys all evil.

The lotus flower is prized and honored among Buddhists.  The pure, delicate flower arises from bogs and slowly develops a beautiful seed head from which these seeds are extracted.  These dried seeds are then smoothed and sealed to make a lasting prayer bead mala.  Their texture, weight and size are ideal for daily mantras and wearing.

Mala measures approximately 36 inches around.  Beads are 8-9mm.  Charm is about 0.75 inch.
