Buried Thunderbolt Pumtek Bracelet 12

  |

Buried Thunderbolt of Enlightenment
  • The word Pumtek means, "buried thunderbolt" and these Pumtek beads are among the rarest and most sought after collectable beads in the world.
  • Pumtek beads are made of opalized wood, a material that is indigenous to Burma where the beads originated. Opalized wood occurs when wood is fossilized and turned into stone, making these beads extremely unique.
  • These antique beads are highly collectable. DharmaShop founder, Sander Cohen, sourced these beads earlier this year through a trusted friend and collector of Tibetan artifacts and antique beads. The one-of-a-kind Pumtek bead is hand strung here at the DharmaShop with painted water buffalo bone beads and brass spacers.

This bracelet is available with a striped Pumtek bead or zig-zag design.Because it is from the earth and was once organic material, petrified wood is known for its strong grounding properties and calming energies. Many Burmese and Tibetans revere these beads as prized spiritual objects that can also act as protection amulets.

Bone beads are handcrafted by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice. They are a powerful reminder of impermanence; because nothing is permanent, everything is possible.

Size:

7.25-7.5" around on stretchy cord.

Bone beads are 11mm, Pumtek is about 15mm.
