Buried Thunderbolt Pumtek Bracelet 08

  |
Buried Thunderbolt of Enlightenment
  • The word Pumtek means, "buried thunderbolt" and these Pumtek beads are among the rarest and most sought after collectable beads in the world.
  • Pumtek beads are made of opalized wood, a material that is indigenous to Burma where the beads originated.  Opalized wood occurs when wood is fossilized and turned into stone, making these beads extremely unique.
  • These antique beads are highly collectable.  DharmaShop founder, Sander Cohen, sourced these beads in Nepal on one of his first trips there.  The one-of-a-kind Pumtek bead is hand strung with true Turquoise discs and Shungite beads.

This bracelet features a rare Lightning Bolt Pumtek bead.  Its stripes are separated by the zig-zag lightning bolt design.  Because it is from the earth and was once organic material, petrified wood is known for its strong grounding properties and calming energies.  Many Burmese and Tibetans revere these beads as prized spiritual objects that can also act as protection amulets.

Black stones like Shungite are known to offer protection to the wearer, provide stability, and ground the Root Chakra.  It can reduce stress and anxiety by amplifying feelings of protection and balance.

Turquoise is one of the oldest protection amulets, it protects the wearer from negative energy and can bring good fortune.  It is a very personal and meaningful stone to one who wears it, and can take on the characteristics of the owner.

Bracelet measures approximately 6.75 inches around on stretchy cord.  The Pumtek bead is just under 2 inches long.  Shungite beads are 6mm, Turquoise beads are 8mm.
