Turquoise Moon Earrings

These spectacular earrings remind me of a calm and perfect night during my last trip to Kathmandu. I was walking clockwise around the Stupa of Boudanath with a friend of mine when the sun fell behind the mountains surrounding the city. It gets dark VERY fast in Kathmandu, one moment it is a sunny day and 10 minutes later it is full dark. As the daylight faded the moon and the first stars of the night started to illuminate the sky just above the mammoth stupa. It is a view of the most sacred sight in Nepal that I will never forget.
