Gold Medicine Buddha Statue

• This Medicine Buddha statue is handmade in Kathmandu, Nepal by a 5th generation crafting family using traditional methods.
• Each bronze statue is made using the lost wax method.  After casting, it is hand detailed and carved by master craftsmen. Finally, the Buddha's face is hand painted with gold.
• This traditional process takes a considerable amount of time and skill.  Each and every detail is truly incredible and takes weeks to create.

Statue features the Medicine Buddha seated on a lotus platform, holding a vase in the left hand and meditating calmly.  The Medicine Buddha is a deity of compassion and healing.  He is believed to alleviate suffering for mental and physical illness.  Often his image is shown with rays of lapis lazuli light radiating from his crown.

Measures approximately 5 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide at the base.
