Strength and Courage Mala

• This limited edition 108 bead DharmaShop mala is made with smooth fossil jasper and high quality faceted labradorite stones that are separated by zinc-plated brass spacers.
• Handmade in Nepal, a unique pendant made from carved water buffalo bone set in brass hangs from the center of the mala.  One side features an elephant design and the other a lion.
• Together these two animals represent compassion, strength, fearlessness, leadership, courage and friendship.

Fossil jasper helps you with self-expression and eases fear of the unknown.  It is a protective and grounding stone, and is especially useful for healing. Labradorite is a stone of the Throat Chakra, believed to open the wearer up to their natural intuition and creativity.

A note about bone usage:  In the Himalayas, it is typical for large animals such as yak or water buffalo to be used for service, food, clothing, and ritual items.  Given the limited amount of resources and the religious practices of the people in the region, it is important that none of the animal goes to waste.  These amazing bone pendants are handcrafted by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.

Mala measures approximately 36 inches around with an adjustable knot.  Beads are 6mm.  Pendant is about 2.5 inches long.
