Buried Thunderbolt Pumtek Bracelet 05

  |
  • The word Pumtek means, "buried thunderbolt" and these Pumtek beads are among the rarest and most sought after collectable beads in the world.
  • Pumtek beads are made of petrified wood, a material that is indigenous to Burma where the beads originated.  Petrified wood occurs when wood is fossilized and turned into stone, making these beads extremely unique.
  • These modern beads are highly collectable.  DharmaShop founder, Sander Cohen, sourced these beads in Nepal on one of his first trips there.  Each bead is hand strung with blue howlite beads and bone spacers.

This bracelet features a Tiger Pumtek design with two tiger stripes, two linear stripes on each end, and dotted eyes.  Because it is from the earth and was once organic material, petrified wood is known for its strong grounding properties and calming energies.  Many Burmese and Tibetans revere these beads as prized spiritual objects that can also act as protection amulets.

Bracelet measures approximately 7 inches around on stretchy cord.
