Tibetan Mandala Lingam Singing Bowl

  |
  • This etched Lingam style Tibetan singing bowl is incredibly detailed and was hand picked from a stunning collection of carved singing bowls made in Kathmandu.  It is cast, hammered, polished, and etched entirely by hand.
  • Lingam bowls are said to have extremely strong energy and overall long-lasting sound.  Due to their aesthetic appeal and special sound, this style of bowl is very rare.  They are highly sought after by collectors and practitioners alike.
  • Features a Sri Yantra mandala with dorje designs along the outside.  Another mandala design surrounds the Lingham at the interior base of the bowl, while two fish surround the bottom base.

Lingam singing bowls are among the rarest of all Himalayan singing bowls.  Known as a rather masculine shape, they feature a small cone-like protrusion, the lingam, inside the base of the bowl.  A small matching impression can be seen on the bottom of the bowl.

A Sri Yantra mandala is a geometrical design based on the principles of sacred geometry and is used for meditation.  It is said to be the geometric representation of the most sacred sounds in the Universe, including the sound of Om.

The two fish represent fearlessness.  Living without danger of drowning in the ocean of suffering, and migrating from place to place freely and spontaneously - just as fish swim freely without fear through water.

Bowl rings at a G note when struck with a woolen mallet.  This note resonates with the Throat Chakra.  It influences communication, dreaming, artistic expression, good judgment, self-belief, wisdom, and truthfulness.  When the Throat Chakra is balanced, it allows for free communication, helping us to feel centered and happy.

Measures approximately 9.75 inches in diameter and is about 4.25 inches deep. Cushion sold separately.

All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet!
