Our Handcrafted Red Felt Mallet is the perfect accessory for just about any singing bowl.
Great for gonging singing bowls and bells. Each one of the sound recordings on our website is created by striking once with this mallet.
It features a natural wax finish on nicely turned wood handle. The head is made of deep red wool felt. Handmade in Nepal.

The red felt ball is handcrafted using sustainable methods by afair-trade collective dedicated to creating employment opportunities for local women. It is traditionally hand felted by a wonderful team of female artisans before being dried under the sun in the Kathmandu Valley.

Sizing:

Measures about 7.5 inches long.

Awesome for producing slightly muted lower tones(compared to suede striker). In my opinion-if you plan on getting a larger bowl(6+inches)-you cant beat the tone while using these! Great quality and craftsmanship! Good buy.

So the red mallet with just the wool ball at the end is only for gonging and not to make the Bull sing, correct? The other stick that has wood and a material combined is for the bowl to sing, correct

Hello Michelle, yes exactly! This mallet is another great tool in your toolbox. It will create a different tone than the complimentary striker that comes with your bowl and is great for gongs as well. Namaste!

Hi, I'm interested in a singing bowl and I noticed that they come with a wooden striker. Does the red wool mallet create a different sound ?

it does, you get the lowest tones from the mallet, while the bowl is for striking and singing.
