Green Tara is known as the Buddha of enlightened activity, filled with youthful vigor. She is the fiercer form of Tara, but is still a savior-goddess of compassion. Green Tara is intensely compassionate and acts quickly to help those who call upon her.
Each statue is full of colorful painted detail including lotus flowers, deer, and Tibetan dragons. Tibetan dragons are protectors of Buddhism whose thunderous voices awaken us from delusion. The deer reference the first teaching which Buddha gave in the Sarnath Deer Park near Varanasi, where he set in motion the "first turning of the wheel of dharma."
Statue measures approximately 5.25 inches tall and 3.25 inches wide at the base.
