A truly exclusive 108 bead DharmaShop mala that includes beautiful lapis beads, a robust Mastodon fossil bead, and a lapis Guanyin Buddha pendant. Each pendant consists of a hand carved gemstone that is placed inside of a .925 sterling silver setting with bail. Top quality lapis can contain some pyrite attractively sprinkled throughout the gem, and these inclusions can be seen in both the mala beads and pendant.
Guanyin is known as the goddess of compassion, and also as the goddess of mercy. A prehistoric Mastodon fossil bead hangs from the center of the mala, along with the hand carved lapis Buddha pendant. Lapis is said to promote self awareness, enlightenment and open the mind to all possibilities. It is also considered to be a powerful stone when used for meditation.
Lapis beads are 8mm, and Mastodon bead is about 12mm. Buddha pendant measures about 1 3/4 inch tall from top of bail, 3/4 inch wide, and 1/2 inch thick. Mala is approximately 34 inches around.
