Typically dated between the 16th and 19th century, Mani bowls are highly sought after by collectors and practitioners alike due to their special shape creating a sound quality like no other! They are heavy and substantial with thick walls, and tend to have a higher tone. We were so excited to see and play this style of bowl in person, as they are incredibly rare.
A great addition to any collection, this one-of-a-kind gong bowl features a rustic finish with etched tuning marks along the outer rim and inside base. Over time, it has acquired some natural patina. This bowl has passed the test of time and you will feel its vibrant energy and rich history!
Bowl rings at a D note when struck with a woolen mallet. This note resonates with the Sacral Chakra. This energy is the center for creating relationships of all kinds. It is where we develop an inward sense of self and an outward awareness of others.
Measures approximately 6 inches in diameter and is about 3.75 inches deep. Comes with a traditional wooden striker.
All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet!
