One of our larger handcrafted Tibetan singing bowls from Kathmandu, Nepal. It comes in a stunning polished finish that shows and sings beautifully.
Tibetan singing bowls are said to promote relaxation, harmony, and offer many healing properties including chakra balancing.
These exquisite bowls are handmade in Patan, in the Kathmandu Valley by 4th generation singing bowl masters. Each bowl is entirely hand hammered and polished to achieve the stunning traditional-style finish.

Our Large Polished Singing Bowl is great for both beginners or experienced collectors. Its larger size allows you to achieve beautiful deep and long-lasting tones.

Includes:

Your bowl comes with a wood and suede striker and Bhutanese cushion hand stitched and stuffed with up-cycled materials. Also includes a DharmaShop keepsake bag.

Size:

Measures approximately 8-8.25 inches in diameter. Size may vary slightly as these exceptional bowls are all hand hammered.

Beauty for the eyes and ears

This polished bowl adds wonderful visual variety to my collection and the sound is excellent. Using a felt mallet, suede wrapped mallet or wooden striker all reveal different layers of overtones and length of reverberation. It has a beautiful primary tone that fills the gap between my 6-7 inch bowls and larger 9+ inch bowls.

So many surprises!

This is my second bowl from The Dharma Shop and I couldn't be happier. First of all the bright and mirror polished finish does not pick up fingerprints as easily as I assumed it would and this is a pleasant surprise. It is a thinner-walled bowl thus giving it tremendously deep tones with the red wool mallet (bought separately) and I consistently achieve a "B" tone this way. This shipped with a medium suede and wooden mallet and I tried it out with a large suede and wooden mallet and in both cases I was achieving a tone of "F" consistently along with "B".

Deep & melodious sound

The bowl is lovely to look at, with its bright, polished finish. As it is on the large side, it will produce a deep tone, when rubbed with the mallet. Striking the side will produce a somewhat higher tone. Either is pleasing to the ear and continues to resonate for quite a while. If I only har oom for more of these…

Loretta, thank you for your inquiry. The Large Polished Singing Bowl does come with the wooden striker but does not come with a cushion. Our singing bowl cushions are usually about $19-20.
