Raktu and Vintage Tibetan Bead Wrist Mala

  |
  • This simple and traditional wrist mala features natural raktu seed beads with reconstituted turquoise accents and a vintage Tibetan spacer.
  • With meaning similar to the bodhi seed, many practitioners use raktu malas for their essence and inherent teachings of enlightenment within each seed.
  • The vintage Tibetan bead is made of brass with inlaid pieces of coral and turquoise.  It's a traditional Tibetan style bead often seen in Himalayan jewelry.

These mala beads are great if you like a natural seed bead in a smaller size.  Seed malas are some of the most common malas used in Tibet and Nepal.   Raktu seeds are sustainable and are harvested each year then drilled and made into mala beads.

Adjustable wrist mala measures approximately 6.75 inches around when fully tightened and opens to about 9 inches around.  Raktu beads are 7mm, turquoise beads are 8mm, Tibetan bead is 12mm.  Made in Nepal.

Beautiful.

I have bought bracelets that cost more but weren't half as nice. Also I love that the Mala is adjustable because it was for my son and others didn't fit his larger wrist. He loves it as well. I will shop here again.

Great wrist mala

I am very happy with this wrist mala. The two turquoise spacer beads match perfectly, are a good color, and the vintage spacer is lovely. I like having the natural seeds and knowing the mala was handmade in Kathmandu. And it is easy to adjust to a small wrist (or any size wrist I would imagine). In addition to being comfortable, the mala helps me to be more mindful.
