Small Naga Shell 108 Mala from Nagaland

  |

There are many styles and sized of naga shell beads available in Kathmandu and they all come from Nagaland.  These very special shell beads are hand carved in Nepal and are a rare, small size.  These are very hard to find and sell quickly whenever we are lucky enough to find them.

The naga/conch shell represents the fame of the Buddha's teaching which spreads in all directions like the sound of the conch trumpet.  It is a symbol which fearlessly proclaims the truth of the dharma.

Contains 108 8mm hand carved beads and measures approximately 32 inches around.

Excellent mala!

After two disappointing purchases from the Dharma Shop this has reinstated confidence. This mala has a great feel and appearance to it. It has a little weight and smoothness combined with good stringing that is sympathetic to effective meditation counting. It also has that aged appearance that is good to the eye.
