Over the last 17 years, DharmaShop founder Sander Cohen has been collecting dzi beads in all price ranges directly from Kathmandu, Nepal. This one-of-a-kind necklace comes exclusively from his collection. In the past 5 years, prices of dzi beads have gone sky high and many original ancient beads are selling for $100,000 to $2,000,000.
This extremely gorgeous and entirely unique true agate dzi bead necklace was strung by hand right here at the DharmaShop, and paired with two antique coral accent beads on either side. The dzi bead features the Buddha eyes, or wisdom eyes, design on one side, and the 5 eye dzi motif on the opposite side.
The 5 eyed dzi is considered a magical item and is highly sought after. It assists one in obtaining whatever one desires, therefore it is a very desired bead. Also, it brings about endless happiness. The Buddha eyed dzi is a beacon of light and hope. It is believed that the stone gives the wearer special power in realizing their dreams and also brings about endless happiness. Coral symbolizes life and blood force energy; it is the stone of transformation and peace.
Dzi measures approximately 2 inches long and about 1/2 inch thick. Antique coral pieces are about 8mm. Necklace measures approximately 20 inches around.
