Bodhi beads that have been cut on each end, making them flat in the traditional manner are contrasted with large naga shell beads to create this beautiful bracelet. The naga shell beads are inlaid with pieces of turquoise and coral. Hang strung in Nepal with an adjustable sliding knot closure.
Bodhi seed beads can be used for counting all types of mantras as well as other prayers. "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed.
The naga/conch shell represents the fame of the Buddha's teaching which spreads in all directions like the sound of the conch trumpet. It is a symbol which fearlessly proclaims the truth of the dharma.
Bracelet measures approximately 7 inches around when fully tightened and opens to about 10 inches. Bodhi beads are 12-15mm, naga shell beads are 13-15mm.
