Spiritual Bone & Bodhi Wrist Mala

• This wrist mala is handmade in Nepal and includes naturally stained yak or water buffalo bone disk-shaped beads with a bodhi seed guru bead.
• Bodhi seeds have special meaning for all seekers of divine wisdom.  It was under the great bodhi tree that the Buddha first attained enlightenment.
• These handcrafted bone beads are a great reminder of impermanence and living in the present moment; because nothing is permanent, everything is possible.

A note about bone usage:  In the Himalayas, it is typical for large animals such as yak or water buffalo to be used for service, food, clothing, and ritual items.  Given the limited amount of resources and the religious practices of the people in the region, it is important that none of the animal goes to waste.  These amazing bone beads are handcrafted by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.

Adjustable wrist mala measures approximately 6.5 inches around when fully tightened and opens to about 10 inches.  Bone beads are 11-12mm, bodhi bead is about 15mm.
