Two of our best-selling products! An authentic, traditional mala with 108 Bodhi Seed beads and a matching bracelet strung on heavy cotton cord.
The larger size of these beads can be very satisfying for counting and meditation.
Handmade in Kathmandu under the shadow of the Boudhanath Stupa, both items are simply strung and finished with a guru bead and black knotted ends.

Bodhi seed beads can be used for counting all types of mantras as well as other prayers. These dark-speckled seed beads have special meaning for all seekers of divine wisdom. "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed.

Size:

Mala measures about 42" around. Beads are approximately 12-14mm.

Small bracelet is approximately 6-6.5" around when fully tightened and opens to about 8".Large is about 7.5" around and opens to about 10".Bodhi beads are about 13mm, guru bead is about 15mm.

I returned it and have not heard back yet.

It was well made but too small for me. I could not get it over my hand. The beads were also larger than I expected. I am interested in your rosewood mala if you get it back in stock. It looks adjustable. Thank you.

Do you all have care suggestions? Is it OK to wear ALL the time? Can I get it wet? I did by the oil, how often should I put it on?

Bodhi seeds are porous in nature, so oiling them occasionally can help as well. How do I loosen my wrist Mala. It is so tight I cannot adjust it. TY.

Hey Barbara! Thanks for your message and inquiry. The hand-tied knot serves as a tube through which the two cords slide. Without untying or loosening the knot, grasp the beads of the bracelet on either side of the knot and firmly pull. The first few times may require greater strength as the cords are exercised. To tighten, grasp the toggle beads and pull. I have also included a video below which helps further detail the adjustable knot feature. I hope this information is helpful! I just ordered and received this bracelet and am wondering if you would recommend taking it off before showering because it's made from seeds?
