Resonance of the Ages Ancient Carnelian

• A rare and ancient find with over 1,000 years of history and heritage.  This ancient etched carnelian chung Dzi bead was purchased directly by the DharmaShop team from a collector we've traded and worked with for over 20 years.
• This bead has traveled throughout India, Burma, and the Himalayas, and is estimated to be between 1,000-1,500 years old.  The raw carnelian stone was unearthed and hand-etched by skilled artisans of an ancient world and traded throughout the centuries as a prized artifact.
• Ancient etched carnelians have been used throughout the ages not only for decoration, but also as protection amulets to shield the wearer from negativity or evil and promote good health.

This past winter, Sander, founder and owner of DharmaShop, was contacted by a collector friend he has known for nearly 20 years. This collector typically works in Tibetan ritual artifacts and ancient beads, and contacted Sander right away upon acquiring this special bead.  This is an heirloom belonging to the traditions and region of Tibet and the Himalayas.  We have never come across an ancient carnelian like this one in our 20 years of business.

The beads size is astonishing for its age and journey throughout time and history.  The stone itself is full of intricate detail such as agate banding, surface texture, and color variation.  The small chips and imperfections are considered auspicious and are a reflection of the beads age and authenticity.  It has been etched with a 3 striped design that represents multiple fortunes to be gained by the owner.  If powered by love of ones self, this bead can offer a great journey.
