Ground Your Spirit Mala

• On our trip to Nepal in March of 2019, we worked alongside of our artisans in Kathmandu to help design this amazing mala necklace.
• It's made with 108 gray quartz beads that have been individually hand knotted on bold red cord.  We got to watch as every bead was knotted and the beautiful maroon tassel was wound and strung by hand.  Each process takes considerable time, skill, and care.
• The mala is finished with an antiqued brass Cheppu pendant that Sander, DharmaShop's founder, sourced on his visit to Taiwan in 2018.  We brought them directly to our mala makers in Nepal to create this truly exclusive DharmaShop design!

Cheppu, known as the mask of protection, can be seen at the main entrance of many stupas and homes as a protection from all dangers.

Gray quartz is an excellent grounding stone that aids in concentration, making this hand knotted mala great for meditation practice.  It is a powerful stone to activate and purify the Root Chakra as it provides a protective and stabilizing energy to the wearer.  Meditating with gray quartz will help you be present in the moment and ground your spirit.

Mala measures approximately 38 inches around.  Beads are 8mm.  Cheppu pendant is about 0.75 inch.  Tassel is about 4.5 inches long.
