Handmade by master artisans, this Tibetan singing bowl was carefully selected in Kathmandu from an absolutely stunning collection of carved bowls.
Each bowl requires an incredible amount of time and skill to create, therefore this style is limited. Every piece is hand hammered and polished before being etched with extraordinary detail.
Inside features an intricate Medicine Buddha design with mantra surrounding, along with beautiful swirls of repeated Medicine Buddha mantras and Eternal Knot symbols. The mantra of compassion, Om Mani Padme Hum, wraps around the outside and a unique sacred geometry design grounds the base of the bowl.
The Medicine Buddha is a deity of compassion and healing. He is believed to alleviate suffering for mental and physical illness. The mantra reads, "Om Bekandze Bekandze, Maha Bekandze, Radza Samudgate Soha." This translates to, "May the many sentient beings who are sick, quickly be freed from sickness. And may all the sicknesses of beings never arise again."
Om Mani Padme Hum, the compassion mantra, invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. It decorates the outside of the bowl and is separated by dorje designs, an emblem of protection.
The base of the bowl displays a geometrical design based on the principles of sacred geometry. These designs are often used for meditation to connect on a deeper spiritual level.
Your bowl comes with a wood and suede striker and our large blue dorje cushion hand stitched and stuffed with up-cycled materials. Includes a DharmaShop keepsake bag.

This bowl used for Tibetan crown chakra work and other, rings long with beautiful harmonics. It's large enough to put over your head to help with any migraine or head issues. Love.
A:Hello Alex, thanks for your message! Due to the handmade, hand-hammered nature of our singing bowl collection, the musical notes will vary depending on how and what is used to play the bowl. We find this to be a great reminder that your bowl is as unique and one of a kind as the artisan who crafted it! I hope this information is helpful. We appreciate your inquiry and support.

Q:Does this bowl have all seven metals in it?

A:Hello Dawn, thanks so much for your inquiry. Yes! thanks so much for reaching out to us! Most traditional Tibetan singing bowls including the Medicine Buddha Healing Bowl are made using a special blend of 7 metals including: gold, silver, copper, iron, tin, mercury, and lead. However, only 2 metals are critical to the sound and function of a singing bowl. This bronze alloy of copper and tin is commonly referred to as bell metal. Bell metal is about 80% copper and 20% tin. So, our singing bowls are made up mostly of bell metal, with a very small amount of the additional 7 metals added due to the traditional aspects although they do not affect the sound or function of the bowl. I hope this information is helpful! We appreciate your inquiry and support.
