- A superb museum quality statue handmade by 5th generation statue makers, the Shakya family, in Kathmandu, Nepal. This 24K gold plated Chenrezig statue took over a year to create with over 12 highly skilled artists working on it entirely by hand.
- Made using the ancient lost-wax method, the artists must first create a detailed wax mold that is coated in clay and dried in the sun. Molten bronze is then poured into the mold to create the figure of the statue. Next, the statue is repeatedly cleaned and polished before being sent to the finishing craftsman who carve and etch all of the amazing tiny details. Finally, the statue is hand painted with 24K gold.
