The skeleton dance is a sacred Tibetan ritual found in Himalayan Buddhism. The Citipati skeletons are a pair of lovers whose dance represents the liberation and enlightenment that comes from accepting our impermanence. The Citipati remind us to live in the present moment; because nothing is permanent, everything is possible. Despite their dark appearance, they actually represent perfect awareness and a joyous freedom from attachment.
The traditional Tibetan brocade fabric is a polyester and silk blend, making it a long-lasting and versatile material. The black brocade features gold lotus designs with red and yellow framing around the painting.
Frame measures approximately 27.5 inches wide in the center, 35 inches wide at the poles, and 48 inches tall.
