In Buddhism the color red has a powerful, protective quality. Many scared building, altar boxes, and even monks' and nun's clothing are a deep red color. Bright red corals are valued highly for use in jewelry as way to remind us of our connection to the birth and rebirth cycle. Here we use beautiful faceted glass Czech beads, instead of corals, strung against a brass skull bead. Skulls are often used as powerful reminders of impermance in Buddhist practice.
Hand strung in the USA. Glass beads (11mm x 13mm) are Czech and brass skull (7mm x 8mm) is made in Nepal.
Size:Approx. 6 1/4 inches around. Strung on stretchy cord
