Meditating Medicine Buddha Framed Thankga

The Medicine Buddha is a deity of compassion and healing.  He is believed to alleviate suffering for mental and physical illness.  Often his image is shown with rays of lapis lazuli light radiating from his crown.

The traditional Tibetan brocade fabric is a polyester and silk blend, making it a long-lasting and versatile material.  It features gold lotus designs on royal blue with red and yellow framing around the painting.

Painted area measures approximately 10 inches wide and 14.5 inches tall.  Frame measures approximately 19.25 inches wide and 34 inches tall.
