  |
  • A masterpiece Citipati thangka hand painted with beautiful bold colors and abundant gold details in a traditional brocade frame.  Limited quantity - we were only able to source 1 of these incredible pieces!
  • Our thangkas are hand painted by master artists who come from generations of thangka painting experts.  Thangka schools in Nepal help to keep Tibetan traditions alive.
  • Each painting is done entirely by hand on canvas before being sewn into a stunning silk and polyester brocade frame.  It's the perfect addition to your home decor, meditation area, or altar space.

The skeleton dance is a sacred Tibetan ritual found in Himalayan Buddhism.  The Citipati skeletons are a pair of lovers whose dance represents the liberation and enlightenment that comes from accepting our impermanence.  The Citipati remind us to live in the present moment; because nothing is permanent, everything is possible.  Despite their dark appearance, they actually represent perfect awareness and a joyous freedom from attachment.

The traditional Tibetan brocade fabric is a polyester and silk blend, making it a long-lasting and versatile material.  The black brocade features gold lotus designs with red and yellow framing around the painting.

Frame measures approximately 27.5 inches wide in the center, 35 inches wide at the poles, and 48 inches tall.
