Hands of the Buddha Antique Bowl

  |
  • This antique singing bowl was acquired from one of our favorite singing bowl experts and sound healers in Nepal.  He specializes in sound baths as well as collecting antique bowls.
  • Hand picked by the DharmaShop team, this unique and one-of-a-kind bowl was selected from a stunning and superior collection of antique bowls in the Kathmandu Valley.
  • This beautifully aged antique bowl has a rare and unusual shape often referred to as, "Buddha bowl."  It's truly a one-of-a-kind bowl with a golden finish.  With its unique shape and a rich tone, it shows and sings beautifully.

The unique shape of this bowl is very similar to what you can see depicted in the hands of the Buddha.  We were so excited to see and play this style of bowl in person, as they are incredibly rare.  Buddha bowls are highly sought after by collectors and practitioners alike due to their special shape creating a sound quality like no other!

A great addition to any collection, this one-of-a-kind bowl with thin walls and a bulbous shape.  Over time, it has acquired natural signs of age and wear including some patina.  This bowl has passed the test of time and you will feel its vibrant energy and rich history!

Bowl rings at a D# note when struck with a woolen mallet.  This note resonates with the Sacral Chakra.  This energy is the center for creating relationships of all kinds.  It is where we develop an inward sense of self and an outward awareness of others.

Measures approximately 5.75 inches in diameter and is about 4 inches deep. Comes with a traditional wooden striker.

All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet!
