These traditional Tibetan bone beads are hand inlaid with pieces of turquoise, coral, copper and brass. Can be worn as a necklace or wrapped bracelet. Each bead is entirely unique. Mala is handmade by the Tamang family from Syambunath, Nepal.
A note about bone beads: Tibetan nomadic life is hard, and in the cold there is little to eat. Water buffalo is a main staple in Nepal and Tibet and when an animal is used for food nothing is wasted. These amazing bone beads are hand inlaid by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.
Mala measures approximately 28 inches around. Beads are about 8mm.
