Bodhi and Naga Spirit Mala

• This authentic 108 bead mala is made with beautiful bodhi seed beads, naga shell spacers, and a white metal mantra guru bead.  It features the mantra of compassion, Om Mani Padme Hum, in Tibetan script.
• Wearing or meditating with this mala will remind you to be compassionate and kind.  The larger size of these beads can be very satisfying for counting.  When not in use, it can be wrapped 3-5 times loosely around most wrists.
• Handmade by Tibetan artisans in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Bodhi seed beads can be used for counting all types of mantras as well as other prayers.  These dark-speckled seed beads have special meaning for all seekers of divine wisdom.  "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed.

The naga/conch shell represents the fame of the Buddha's teaching which spreads in all directions like the sound of the conch trumpet.  It is a symbol which fearlessly proclaims the truth of the dharma.

Mala measures about 43 inches around.  Bodhi beads are approximately 12-13mm, naga shell spacers are about 14-15mm, guru bead is 12mm.
