Antique Trapezoid Singing Bowl

• This antique singing bowl was acquired from one of our favorite singing bowl experts and sound healers in Nepal.  He specializes in sound baths as well as collecting antique singing bowls.
• Hand picked by the DharmaShop team, this unique and one-of-a-kind bowl was selected from a stunning and superior collection of antique bowls in the Kathmandu Valley.
• This beautifully aged antique singing bowl has a rare and unusual shape often referred to as, "trapezoid."  It's truly a one-of-a-kind bowl with a thick edge and tuning marks around the outside rim and inner base.  With its unique shape, it shows and sings beautifully.

Interestingly shaped bowls like this one were often used for ceremonial or ritual purposes.  We were so excited to see and play this style of bowl in person, as they are incredibly rare.  Uncommon bowls are highly sought after by collectors and practitioners alike due to their special shape creating a sound quality like no other!

A great addition to any collection, this one-of-a-kind antique bowl features an attractive and bright golden exterior with a thick edge at the top, giving it a unique and sustaining tone.  Over time, it has acquired some beautiful natural patina inside.  This bowl has passed the test of time and you will feel its vibrant energy and rich history!

Bowl rings at a A note when struck with a woolen mallet.  This note resonates with the Third Eye Chakra.  When this chakra is balanced, we are able to better connect to our intuition and imagination, visualize, concentrate, have insight, enlightenment and a finely tuned awareness.

Measures approximately 8 inches in diameter and is about 4.5 inches deep. Comes with a traditional wooden striker.
