Elephant Incense Burner

• Clay incense elephant burner handmade and fired in Nepal.
• The main characteristics of the elephant are strength and steadfastness.  Therefore, it has become a symbol of physical and mental strength as well as responsibility and earthiness.
• It is also one of the animals included in the Buddhist story of the Four Friends.  A creature of great strength and size, yet capable of amazing tenderness and intelligence.

Burning incense is widely used in Tibetan houses and monasteries for special purifications or offerings in special Buddhist ceremonies.  It is also for encouraging relaxation and focus during personal meditation, cleansing the energy in your surroundings, or purely for enjoying the fragrance.

Includes one larger and one smaller hole.  Does not fit traditionally larger Tibetan incense.  We are able to use Tibetan sticks only by removing a small bit from the side of the stick at the base.

Measures approximately 1.5 by 1.25 inches.
